Founder's Letter

Date August 12th, 2025

Dear Founder,

There’s a Tax on Your Ambition. It’s Time to Stop Paying It.

My career started in two places that couldn't seem more different: the military and a hedge fund. In the service, I learned about discipline, process, and the critical importance of having a system you can trust. At the hedge fund, I saw how the right systems could find signals in the noise, creating massive leverage from small advantages. When I started working with small business founders, I saw they were often fighting a war on two fronts without the right equipment. I saw what works, what breaks, and what holds brilliant people back.

And I’ve noticed a pattern. A quiet, frustrating, and deeply unfair tax being levied specifically on the most ambitious, mission-driven founders among us, especially the Black women entrepreneurs I’ve been privileged to know, advise, and learn from.

It’s not a tax you pay to the government. It’s a tax you pay in time, in energy, in leaked revenue, and in diluted vision.

It’s the tax of spending a Saturday night trying to force five different software tools to talk to each other, knowing that a single lead just slipped through the cracks. It’s the tax of hiring a marketing agency that uses all the right buzzwords but produces content that feels like a stranger wearing your brand’s clothes. It’s the gut-wrenching feeling of paying for another system, another consultant, another promise, only to end up with more complexity, not more clarity.

It’s the tax of having your growth engine owned by everyone but you.

I founded my company, One Life No Sequels, on a simple, non-negotiable creed. It’s the same one I live by. You get one shot at this. Your vision is too important, your time is too precious, and your mission is too critical to be slowed down by fragmented systems and partners who don’t share your fire.

The vendor trust deficit is real. I’ve seen it. You’ve lived it. You’ve been burned by partners who overpromised, under-documented, and failed to understand the cultural nuances of the audience you serve with such dedication. You’ve been told that scaling your business means sacrificing the very authenticity that makes you unique.

That is a lie.

And ENGAGE AIS is my response.

This isn’t another tool to rent. It’s not another agency to outsource your story to. It is an invitation to engage with Artificially Intelligent Systems: built for your brand, and owned, completely, by you.

We’re not selling software. We’re delivering sovereignty.

We partner with a select group of founders to do one thing: build a single, intelligent growth engine that becomes a permanent asset in your business. We design and install the bespoke workflows that eliminate manual tasks. We build and train AI agents in your brand voice to handle the repetitive work, freeing up your team for the human touch that matters most. We create a system for producing on-brand, culturally fluent creative assets at scale.

And then, we hand you the keys.

Because the project isn’t done when the system is built. It’s done when your team is empowered. We deliver the systems and the playbook to run them. No black boxes. No vendor lock-in. Just capability and continuity.

This is for the founder who believes her systems should be as unique as her vision. The leader who knows that owning her data, her intellectual property, and her customer journey is the ultimate form of leverage. The entrepreneur who is ready to stop paying the ambition tax and start reinvesting that energy into her true work.

If this message resonates with the work you’re doing in the world, I’d be honored to connect. This isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a conversation between builders.

You only get one life.

Let’s build something that lasts.

Sincerely,

Harvey Jenkins - Founder, One Life No Sequels
